Volunteer
There are several ways in which you can volunteer at the CyberSummit. Take a look below, and if interested, email us at cybersummit@bgcb.org.Workshop Presenter
Think you've got what it takes to teach teens? Come present a workshop at this year's CyberSummit! You will join Computer Clubhouse managers and corporate professionals in conducting approximately 2 hour workshops for 6-12 participating members.Your audience will consist of youth ranging in age from 11 to 17 from greater Boston and New England. Formal workshops will take place in the morning and early afternoon on Thursday April 24th. You are welcome to stay the entire day and/or return on Friday to be a Challenge Team Mentor.
Challenge Team Mentor
Throughout the course of this event, the youth are placed in teams to work on a Challenge related to the theme of this year's CyberSummit. At the end of the CyberSummit, the youth present their solution to the Challenge at the Cyber Fair - an event similar to a trade show. In order to guide these teams throughout the Challenge, we match at least one adult with each team to be their Challenge Team Mentor.Documentary Team Mentor
As of 2006, we began documenting the CyberSummit with our own documentary and news team, built with teens from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. These teens record the event with digital camcorders, cameras, and notes, and then turn it into a newsletter and documentary. If you are interested in helping out either during the event, or with the editing process, please come join us!General Support
We would also love volunteers to help with IT support and clean-up!If interested in volunteering, please review the expectations for volunteers,
and fill out the Volunteer Form to let us know of your interest.
